Notes from July council meeting:

In attendance: Joette, Carol, Karen and Bill.

The minutes from our June meeting were approved.

There was no financial report.

Report from the Historical Structures Architects: We have received funds from History Colorado and now Rhonda will write a check to the architect so that the report can be released to us.

Church Mutual: It is our hope that the above HS architect’s report will give us a new maximum occupancy number. This may or may not help us with finding a less expensive security system.

Homeless Initiative: We are still waiting for the County to produce the Agreement we need to sign in order for the county to use our church basement. The County has requested that we put a keypad on the back door rather than a new lock and key. Joette will communicate with the locksmith.

Website: Karen will meet with Mike Boeke next week to address website and online needs.

RTLC Day Camp (Vacation Bible School): Carol reported that congregation members have signed up for most meals. We still need one more evening meal and possibly one lunch for our 5 counselors/volunteer.

We have changed the date of our church picnic from August 31 to September 7.

The Alliance Moving Systems sale has been tentatively set for Sat. Sept. 13. We will need volunteers both that day to run the sale and the day before, Friday the 12th, to price items. We will discuss advertising the sale further at our August council meeting, but Joette has indicated she will contact the Vail Daily, and it was suggested that Andy Clark (Alliance owner) ask the town to put it on the electronic billboard.

The date for our August council meeting was set for August 19.
